Recognizing the importance of having appropriate communication with society through social media, the Nitta Group (“the Group”) uses social media in an appropriate manner in accordance with the Nitta Group Code of Conduct and this social media policy (hereinafter, "the Policy").
1. Purpose of the Policy
The Policy shows basic principles for the Group to have appropriate communication with society through social media and also establishes the points that officers and employees of the Group should keep in mind when using social media.
2. Purpose of use of social media
The Group uses social media with the aim to have many people deepen their understanding of the Group, by sharing our business activities, products / technologies, the attitudes and values of employees, and so on.

[Social media] in the Policy means services where users can share or exchange information to the general public or a specific group of people on the Internet.

5. Our approach to information sharing
The Group shares information on social media with a full understanding of its characteristics while keeping the following points in mind.
- ・The Group recognizes that content is accessible to the general public and provided information can be shared widely.
- ・The Group gives due consideration to personal information, privacy and confidential information.
- ・The Group respects the rights and positions of others and doesn’t use defamatory expressions or discriminatory expressions.
- ・The Group respects third party rights, including copyright.
- ・The Group works to provide accurate and clear information and be mindful to use expressions that don’t cause any misunderstandings.
6. Use of social media by officers / employees
Regardless of whether social media is being used for business or private purposes, the officers and employees of the Group recognize the possibility that the communications may affect the reputation and brand of the Group and are required to take a sensible course of action being responsible as a member of the Group.
Also, the Group prohibits sharing non-public information, confidential information, and personal information, and also prohibits defamatory or discriminatory expressions, as well as acts that violate laws and regulations or acts that may violate them on social media.
7. Regarding communication with users
The Group, through social media, values communication with the users and works to respond sincerely to the extent possible. However, this does not guarantee that we will respond individually to all comments and inquiries.
Also, regarding posted content that falls or may fall under the following, based on the operational policies and reasonable judgement of the Group, we may take actions such as removing content without prior notice.

- ・Content that is defamatory toward specific individuals or organizations
- ・Content that includes expressions considered discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate under social norms
- ・Content that violates personal information or privacy
